Facilities Coordinator (On-site)

Lief also houses a state-of-the-art, full-service Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) manufacturing facility, which offers custom solutions for a multitude of supplement categories. Our turnkey solutions allow us to engage in seamless partnerships that help brands with scalability and sustainable growth. Lief Labs is located in the Santa Clarita Valley (Valencia, CA.) All roles are on-site Monday – Friday.

Summary

The facilities Coordinator will oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of our facilities. Your role will involve coordinating maintenance activities, managing facility projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach to facility management.

Responsibilities

  • Facilities Maintenance:
    • Coordinate and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
    • Schedule and supervise external contractors and vendors for facility-related services, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial services.
    • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and address any safety hazards or deficiencies.

  • Space Planning and Utilization:
    • Assist in space planning activities, including office layouts, furniture installations, and relocations.
    • Coordinate moves, additions, and changes (MAC) within the facility, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and employee productivity.
    • Optimize space utilization and recommend improvements to support evolving business needs.

  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental requirements.
    • Develop and implement safety procedures, emergency response plans, and evacuation protocols.
    • Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Facility Projects and Budget Management:
    • Coordinate facility projects, renovations, and upgrades from conception to completion.
    • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and track progress against established milestones.
    • Monitor project costs, expenditures, and expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Vendor Management and Contract Administration:
    • Manage relationships with facility-related vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in facilities, building operations, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ADA).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and facility management software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate. Field conditions vary.

Exposed to various raw materials, including allergens (i.e. milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nut, peanuts, wheat, soy).

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly require to talk, hear and grasp items. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.

Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.

The employee must frequently grasp, lift and/or move and carry items up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Additional Information
The Salary Range for this position at Lief Labs is $19.00 - $ 24.50 (USD). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, skills, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, wellness benefits, education reimbursement program, and PTO. This position is bonus eligible.
